God of wisdom and of counsel, You see in my heart a sincere desire to please You alone and to conform myself entirely to Your holy Will in the choice of my state in life. Grant me, I humbly implore You, by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, my Mother and my holy Patrons, the grace to know what state in life I should choose and to embrace it when known, in order that thus I may seek Your glory and increase it, work out my own salvation, and deserve the heavenly reward which You have promised to those who do Your holy Will. Amen.
O Father, you desire all of us to be happy. Stir up the grace of a religious vocation in the hearts of many men and women. Grant to them the willingness and generosity to give of themselves, their lives, their time and their talents to the service of Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord and Savior, and to His Holy Church.
May more men and women go forth as priests, deacons, brothers and sisters to bring the truths of our Catholic faith to all others so that soon they, too, may know You better and love You more… and serving You, be truly happy. Amen.
Answering God’s Call
is the Call to Love!
“…when I’ve found the joy of reaching His Heart…
when my will becomes enthroned in His Love…”
My answer will be, “Yes, Lord!”
The vocation to which God calls us is
designed for our ultimate fulfillment this side of eternity..
to know, love, and serve Him
in spirit, in truth, in the beauty of His Holiness, and
in the grace which He alone provides.
The PURPOSE of the Parish Vocations Ministry is to assist the parish community in fulfilling and advancing its mission of fostering vocations, reminding parish members to respond to God’s call in their lives, most especially to ordained ministry and consecrated life. The Parish Vocations Ministry, as a team, endeavors to take the lead in shepherding the whole parish through initiatives of prayer, promotion, mentoring and invitation. These are facilitated by the Archdiocese Vocation Office, mostly through the Lay Vocation Promoter Program.
Canon Law 233 §1. “The duty of fostering vocations rests with the entire Christian
community so that the needs of the sacred ministry in the universal Church are provided
for sufficiently. This duty especially binds Christian families, educators, and in a
special way, priests, particularly pastors.”
In support of the Parish Mission, with Pastoral guidance, and in collaboration with other ministries, the Vocations Ministry invites all parishioners to participate in various prayers for vocations and encourages their engagement in vocation-related events. Some of the activities include, but are not limited to, publishing the bulletin “Vocation Corner” highlighting vocation recognition days, events, reflections, and resources, and our Seminarians, and also coordinating vocation prayer campaigns, presentations, guest visits, and clergy celebration/appreciation events.
If you have a passion for vocations and want to be a part of this dynamic team, you very much welcomed! For further information or joining the team, please contact:
